Professional, reliable and reasonable. Always great service! We have been loyal customers for over over a decade. They support and know how to troubleshoot Trane Systems.
Have had them come fix my AC twice, and every time it has been a great, relatively affordable experience. Will keep coming back to them if they keep it up!
Cannot say enough about this company. Our A/C went out in a major heat wave. The receptionist was empathetic to our situation and scheduled a repair man as soon as she could, which was the same day. She had a cancelation and called to ask if it was okay to send a repair man within that hour, naturally I said, "thank the lord, yes." The repair man was courteous and informative. He told us what was wrong, what he was going to do, the price (which was very reasonable), and how long it would take. I ended up signing a service contract with the company and would highly recommend them.
Always a pleasure with Facemyer!
The installers from Facemyer were professional and did an excellent job installing our A/C Units. I definitely recommend this company.
Called on a Sunday night at 5pm said he had 2 in front of me that he had to do. Could be after 9. I was just surprised that they could come out. But he was there by around 7pm. Checked the system and gave me options he could do with prices. Told him what I wanted and he fixed it and was done by 8:30pm. My parents have been using them for yrs now. Awesome JOB.. TECHNICIAN WAS.. Red Borck
My AC went out and I have a Trane AC unit which a lot of people won't work on because they don't know how to. I called Facemyer after hours and their technician Ferris called me back later on and had them set up for him to come to my house the next morning. When he got to my house the next morning, he knew everything about my unit and he told me the part that had failed was on back order. He had a used one in the van that I could temporarily use until the new part came in so my kids would have cold air which was definitely awesome. I've dealt with two other companies with this unit and it was obvious that they knew nothing about it. He offered the maintenance service plan and I purchased it because of how knowledgeable he was with this unit. An hour after he left my unit started filling with water which meant it was clogged. (I told him I already unclogged it but apparently did not) I called the company and Ferris called me back with ways I can unclog it. Took a little bit but I got it unclogged and it's bone dry now. I have complete confidence in this company after my interactions with Ferris. I'm very happy to have found them.
Facemyer contacted me the same day. I thought I was low on refrigerant, so I asked what the price would be to add some. They were quickly able to tell me that the service call would be $98, and adding refrigerant would be around $100/lb (I forget the exact number I was told). We scheduled an appointment for the following day.
The office called me to let me know when the tech was on his way (they had promised this the day before, perhaps because of a possible scheduling conflict I had). Ferris (the tech) showed up on time, listened to my description of my problem, and proceeded to evaluate my AC, looking at the entire system, taking various readings, etc.
About 20 minutes later, he told me the problem was not what I had expected. Despite that this is somewhat uncommon, my system was charged with too much refrigerant when it was originally installed a number of years ago. He explained (in terms I could understand) why this was a problem, and why it had led not only to this problem, but to a past AC issue I had (high pressure safety switch went bad). He recommended that some refrigerant should be removed. He then took me outside, showed me the pressure and electrical current readings first hand, and indicated that the high-side pressure reading should be lower.
Then he showed me the proposed pricing. The service call was $98 as promised. The removal of refrigerant he had billed under a generic "service repair" item at a full $389 for 1 hour. I said I thought this was too much, given that adding refrigerant would only have been around $100/lb. He promptly offered to cut this price in half (which would be $194.50), and said he would have to raise it if it took longer than half an hour to do the work. He also stated they needed to properly dispose of the unneeded refrigerant. I agreed to his new proposed price. I felt this was still a higher price than it should have been, and this is the only reason this review is four stars instead of five.
He offered an annual service contract at $250/year (2 visits per year). I asked him to send information on what that service covered, and told him I would not make a purchase decision on that today. He was not pushy, but did send the information I requested.
Another 10 or 15 minutes later, he had completed draining the excess refrigerant (he said he removed about 2 lbs), and he showed me the new pressure readings. He also showed me my compressor was using about 25% less electricity while running, which should save on my power bills, while still having approximately the same cooling performance. I haven't seen whether or not this will fully remedy my problems, but so far, so good.
Before leaving, he quickly billed me via credit card, and sent me an email with my receipt.
Ferris was at all times professional. He listened when I was speaking, took my concerns seriously, and was respectful of me and my home. His explanation of the problem identified was straightforward, and he showed me data to back up what he was saying. I feel he is a very competent technician, and did a high-quality job.
I would recommend Facemyer, and will very likely use them again. My only suggestion would be to have more clear pricing for tasks like emptying refrigerant, when necessary.
[Update 8/1/23] Please see Facemyer's reply to my original message. While I still believe my 4-star review is accurate, as a business owner myself, I want to commend them for their prompt and professional response to the one concern I expressed above. They clearly care about managing their reputation, which is a good sign of a quality company.
Had two AC unit tune ups. Well done, communication was detailed. Very responsive.
